NOVEMBERS DOOM Won't Work With Producer NEIL KERNON After All
July 30, 2004Despite a previous announcement to the contrary, Chicago doomsters NOVEMBERS DOOM will not be utilizing the services of producer Neil Kernon (CANNIBAL CORPSE, NEVERMORE, DEICIDE) on their upcoming album, tentatively titled "The Pale Haunt Departure".
"I prematurely announced we would be working with Neil Kernon once again on the new CD," NOVEMBERS DOOM vocalist Paul Kuhr writes on the group's web site. "I spoke with Neil, and got him on board the project before the band and I had time to really sit down and discuss the possibility of this. While we had initially hoped to have Neil on board, after much consideration, and exploring avenues of this recording and the near future plans of this band, the band has decided in majority to not use Neil's talents this time around. This decision was in no way personal towards Neil, as we all consider him a friend, and we all consider his talents amazing. He was a key element behind the amazing production behind 'To Welcome The Fade' and we remain very grateful to him for that. We promise that our new CD will still consist of quality music and a quality production that will live up to what we've created in the past."
As previously reported, NOVEMBERS DOOM will enter the studio in October to record their fifth full-length CD for an early 2005 release through The End Records.
